If you are trying to fix your computer do NOT come here! I had a problem with one of the hinges on my computer and I tried to fix it on my own using some putty. After I 'fixed' the hinge I was still able to use my computer with no software problems whatsoever. The computer was working as it always is and the battery life was intact. After they assessed my work they said they were able to repair it no problem (I even payed extra to expedite the process).

I got the laptop back a few days later with a new part in and the hinges were working properly. When I went to turn on the computer a weird bios pop-up menu showed up (something I had never seen before) and the computer did not turn on unless it was plugged in and if I unplugged it the computer would shut off. The computer said "no battery detected".

They took the computer back to take a look at it and after a few days I got a call to go pick up my computer. While the technician was making sure everything was fine I noticed the battery percentage was dwindling as we spoke. literally almost like a percentage per ten seconds. long story short, my hinges were fixed but my computer was messed with and now its going to be way more expensive to repair the mother board (something that shouldn't have been touched at all).

Moral of the story: DO NOT BRRING YOUR COMPUTER HERE THEY WILL BREAK IT EVEN MORE Another thing to note is that I had to talk to them for days fighting for them to pay for the repairs and they were so reluctant to fix something THEY broke! great service and friendly people but horrible repair skills.

I brought my MSI gaming laptop in to have the cpu and GPU fans replaced. They ensured me it was something they could do. I picked it back up just before 6 pm today, about 24 hrs after dropping it off. Most the tech did was make sure he could log on. After getting home, I tried running a game. My laptop blue screened and restarted. I tried updating the software and continued to troubleshoot with guidance with an IT tech but every time I launched a game my laptop blue screened with different error codes and restarted.

It got to the point that it blue screened with a watchdog error code then a system config error code. I couldn't even system restore anymore to get around it. I will be bringing it back for them to figure out what they did wrong. I'm HIGHLY disappointed despite their friendliness. Will update as this problem gets resolved.

Systek lost our intake ticket so they never called with an estimate for fixing our computer. We wasted time waiting around for a call that would never come. We called to check in & they didn't even admit their mistake. They were going to just get all our info again so we could wait around another week or so. As inconvenient as this was, maybe we dodged a bullet since they never actually worked on our computer. Another local company was able to take care of us in a reasonable amount of time.

If I could rate this company 0 stars I would, I had a terrible experience here. I initially dropped off my computer for a diagnostic and was told that there would be a wait time to get an answer (which was expected). After a week, I called back to see if they had diagnosed my computer yet and I was told that they hadn't even looked at it yet.

From that point on I called everyday to see when they would start and finish a diagnostic. It wasn't until six days later that I got some information about my computer and, I probably wouldn't have gotten this information if I hadn't called. At this point they had had my computer for almost 2 weeks. They then said they could fix my computer and the part would take two weeks to come in and once the part came in it would take about 24 hours to repair.

Two weeks later I was notified that the part for my computer had arrived and that they would fix it right away but I didn't get a call back from them for another 3 days. It wasn't until after these three days that they notified me that the wrong part had been delivered! How did they not catch this when the part first arrived? I don't know.

At this point my computer had been with Systek for well over a month and nothing had been fixed. Their customer service was terrible, I literally had to hound them for answers about my computer, and when it came time to fix my computer the wrong part was delivered. They offered to reorder the part and that they MAY have it expedited, (which I don't understand why they didn't do that in the first place, and on top of that how would I know if the wrong part would be delivered again?!, On top of that, they didn't offer me any refund for the money I had spent on the diagnostic or a discount toward fixing the computer. Since it had been a month since I dropped my computer off and it still hadn't been fixed I decided to pick it up and take it somewhere else. This place is HORRIBLE.

Don't pay for the expedited work. Will still take over a week. We were lied to several times over the course of this process. We were told that technicians would work on it the same day that the computer was brought in. After checking in two separate on occasions, we were told that a technician was working on it, but they could not provide a specific update because they were always "out of the office." Two days later, we get a call asking for the password.

Why were we told multiple times that people were working on it, whenever 6 days later they're asking for the password? Clearly if they did not have access to the computer due to not having the password, they weren't "working on it". This company straight up lies. Being dishonest with a local small business in College Station is a dangerous game to play. Stay away from Systek.

My first time going to this place and I absolutely LOVED it! I don't know much about computers but they helped me solve the issue with my laptop in no time and the staff was super friendly! Great prices and great service! I DEFINITELY recommend! :

I feel super robbed. So what happened was, I bought a $50 screen off of Walmart for my HP Envy, and they said they'd charge me $130 for the labor, and $25 because the part isn't there's. The part ended up not fitting my laptop because the edges weren't rounded like mine, AND they charged me $60 for an hour's worth of labor.the guy only worked on my laptop for about 20-40 minutes.

They assured me of the price, and I was like whatever, I need my computer fixed, and they ordered the screen for me, which was $150. They said that as soon as the part arrived, they'd have it fixed by that arrival date. Well the part got here on Tuesday of this week at 2 pm, and it wasn't ready until Friday morning. Like how long does it take for a screen repair?

Then they charged me $130 in labor AGAIN. Not to mention, I feel as though my laptop screen isn't even put on well. It sticks out at the bottom. So I essentially paid $432 for a lousy fix.

Absolutely horrible company! I took in my lap top December 20th and did not received my laptop back until January 10th! They took three weeks just to clean up my laptop so it can run faster! Their $70 diagnostic fee is ridiculous too! They never once called me to update me on the status on my computer, I had to keep calling them! Their customer service skills are flat out unacceptable! How this company is still operating with such horrible customer service is beyond me! NEVER AGAIN!

Systek Computing customer service was outstanding. My father and I went for the first time last week to buy a cage tower for an old computer. The two staff members that helped us were friendly and gave us the best deal possible for what we were looking for. It was helpful to get high quality technical advice about the problem we were facing. Nevertheless, they gave us a solution in a timely manner and they were attentive to hear our concerns and questions. I really recommend this place for anyone one who is seeking to repair a computer. We will be coming back if any problems arise with our computing devices.

The lady that works in the back office seems to be very capable, but every other employee does not have the ability to keep up with regular calls, keep up with their own timeline, or even remember information that they've given after a day. I went in to get my screen replaced and now that I'm back home I've found several things left unplugged.

In fact when I called to check in on my laptop they told me that I needed to get my motherboard replaced I went to the store to tell them that they were wrong and when I arrived they told me that they had neglected to plug a cable in.

I feel like i got ripped off. I asked them to give me a qoute which they told me it's gonna take a week and i was like fine but after a 9 days they still haven't called me so i had to go there n find out they still haven't done anything so they said they will call me later that day. They told me just for changing my keyboard alone (not moderboard) it's good nna be 470$ n i told them don't do anything to it i just pick it up n when i was checking my laptop out they charged me 60$ for an hour of work all i asked for was a quote for replacing my keyboard n I already told them don't do anything else bc im not sure i wanna spend that much on a 700 laptop which I already spend 350 on it before but they fu**ing charge me for 60$ n im a student who has budget based life

I brought my laptop in (Dell Inspiron 15) to have a virus removed. I wanted it on rush service but they put it on standard. I called four days later & was quoted a price of $110. Wasn't too bad, I thought. Then they called me six days later & the total was $269. I was very upset & was told if I didn't agree w/the price I could speak to the manager.

I went to pick up my laptop & when the receptionist told me the total ($269), I told her that didn't sound correct. Then she went back through the paperwork, told me the price was incorrect, that it should've been $211. I'm not a computer geek, but that seems steep just to remove a virus and restore my laptop to previous settings. I was happy they put a free antivirus on & the tech booted up my laptop & tested it for me in front of me. The customer service was great but still too expensive.

We were building a PC from parts mainly ordered from Newegg. We ran into issues, bought a motherboard from them, and they were extremely helpful over the phone.

If I could give them 0 stars I would worst customer service ever I gave them 300 for a simple virus wipe and new hardware and my computer breaks 2 months later from a virus when I bring it in to let them know, they tried to say it'll be 250 for them to do anything about. And also the manager Karen is extremely rude. I'd go any where else but here

I brought my computer into Systek Computing after having issues with Best Buy Geek Squad and was hoping for a better experience. I dropped my computer off on February 3rd and selected the slowest turn around time (due to the fact that there were no other computers in queue to be repaired, and that to send my computer back to the technician back that very moment would cost $100/hour instead of $65/hour), assuming that my computer would be sent into the repair tech after I left.

I was wrong. A week later on the 11th I called to obtain a status update on my computer and was told that it was still waiting to be seen by the technician. I then called on the 14th to see if my computer was still going to be seen and the person who answered my phone said that it was being repaired at the moment and that I would receive a phone call that would tell me when my computer was ready.

I was then called on the 16th saying the my computer was ready to be picked up and that the technician gave me an estimate of 1 hour labor charge. ($65) I was then called 60 minutes later and told by another person that my total for the repair would be $90. I asked why there was such an increase in price from the previous quote that I had received and was informed that the technicians are not allowed to give quotes, and that I had misunderstood him. Yeah, its my fault that your technician called and gave me a quote that was significantly lower than what you are charging me now.

Will never use them again as they have awful customer service and are deceptive in when they will return your merchandise. I am definitely a dissatisfied customer and will tell everyone I know that they should stay away from this place.
