It's alright, it's more affordable than universities or standard college but it doesn't have the nicest and most welcoming people. Oh and the mask mandate is annoying, almost every business has dropped it already, take a hint!

As an external community member I have been to the CWI campus dozens of times so this review with reflect only that. There is also a nice garden th the back for food insecure students and people at the school. The grounds are really well kept so kudo to grounds crew. They have a lot of soccer games thats nice. Great place to walk your dog or go for a bike ride. Also nice Frisbee golf course. I would give 5 starts on they had water fountains.

Putting a review in on behalf of my experience in the auto tech side of CWI. Absolute nightmare and a waste of about $10000. The instructors are unbelievably rude, lazy, and unorganized I guess you would say. I went there for about 2 1/2 total years. One instructor that I'm not gonna name because he was the only good instructor dropped down from a higher position in the school because all the staff was complaining and not actually getting stuff done.

Apparently that reflected on him but nobody listened so he just stepped away from the position and let Alex take it. 2 other instructors quit during my time there. Drug testing there seemed to be a trend for testing all other ethnicities except Caucasians, 2 per class. All I'm gonna say about that sense it's a sensitive subject. John D, needs to be fired. Called me "boy" after I nicely asked him to call me by my name "Alex" and proceeded to scream at me making a scene for the whole class over me missing the last 15 minutes of class for a once in a life time opportunity for most people.

He also tried to fail me by doing everything he could to not help me catch up in class after I got extremely sick for about a week and a half and had to go to the hospital. Scott the electrical instructor. He just lectures you for literally 4 1/2 hours and makes pointless jokes that aren't funny at all and wastes more time. CWI did acknowledge that problem and talked to the students about it but ended up doing nothing.

Your last half an hour to an hour of class with Scott is hands on time with an actual vehicle and guess what? Scott usually disappears until the last 10 minutes of class because Scott has 2 jobs and doesn't really care about his students success. The $10000 waste is all the expensive tools and that $5000 Snap On box that they basically tell the students you absolutely need even though you really don't touch your tools all that much.

And finally the timing of lying eventually gets unbearable. With the tension between John D and I he went behind my back told Alex a bunch of lies such as I'm not doing enough, I'm not being hands on, I'm missing during class, and I'm being disrespectful to him which resulted in me being set in a self made intervention because apparently to Alex instructors are always right.

After the whole intervention I had to tell John D when I had to go to the bathroom and after class I had to go spend 30 minutes finding Alex to tell him one thing I learned in class today. Sounds a lot like kindergarten. This resulted in me having a bad relationship with my managers at work(auto industry job CWI told me I had to have to graduate) and losing my job for constantly being late.

I also quit CWI because 2 years of being a rag doll for working my butt off eventually gets old believe it or not. Fighting through the depression and anger wasn't worth the degree in my opinion. This was my experience at CWI and I truly hope yours is different but I would explore your options before you just throw yourself into that school.

CWI in conclusion is affordable. The education meets expectations, teachers are helpful/colorful, classrooms are medium size like high school; so you get the student participation/feedback that assists you in your development and growth. Its a little dull but if you work, your older, or are looking for parallel education to other schools at half the price CWI is fine. Where are the mathematicians/accountants/bright minds with the costs on this?

So many great events have happened at this College! Thanks Andrea S. Dusty P. Lindsey Z. & Nate for making Farm to Fork pick up dinner and garden stroll a success this year! It was different of course & we missed all the hugs & faces, but still a success! #farmtofork #pickupdinner #CWIvegetablegarden #CWIgarden #educate #CWIcares #friendsforlife #humankindbeboth #plantsomething #growsomething

I've been here for school, work classes, and technical tests. Overall it is a good school. The campus is well taken care of and the staff is very friendly. I would suggest this school if you are a canyon county resident who is trying to get through school without having to make the trip to Boise State University.

Good place to get your education in a very reasonable price. Free parking, good location, the campus will be bigger in the future.

Low tuition, great instructors and staff. Free parking and plenty of it! Also, as a student you receive Microsoft Office Suite for free to download on your computer (as long as you have an active school email), which saves tons of money. The staff wants you to succeed and they will provide you the tools to do so. I look forward to when I transfer to BSU, however, I will sincerely miss this community college. Highly recommend!
