It's wireless, for gosh sakes! Honestly, we weren't expecting much but were very pleasantly surprised. For those of us living in rural areas of Missouri, with no access to fiber or coaxial cable service, Wave's wireless service is heaven sent. Wave would not sign us up for service unless it first determined through a "site survey" that the topology and distances would allow for sustainable service.
We were told, because of the limitations of our location, we could expect at best 3Mbps service, which is what we subscribed for. that said, we regularly get 10Mps up and down. Only during brief periods of the heaviest rain do we get signal degradation. The service allowed us to work from home during the pandemic. Zoom and Team meetings work just fine. Streaming Netflix, Hulu, Amazon. perfect.
The only extended downtime so far came after a bad storm with lightening damage on the radio tower to which we connect. Service was fully restored within 12 hours. Zach (the business owner) and his crew work seven days a week. (I know because I've reached Zach by phone on Sundays.) This is a locally owned business that has earned my loyalty and respect. BTW, we tried a well-known satellite business. The speeds were not great, and the latency was terrible. Streaming services buffered a lot.

This is by far the worst internet service I have ever had. Very intermittent service, sporadic, unreliable. We intend to cancel soon and go back to Hughes net, which is a shame because it is far from satisfactory. So sad to say that there is an Internet service provider worse than Hughesnet, but Wave has accomplished that feat handily. I feel like I am being ripped off every time I pay my exorbitant monthly fee. Way too much money, way lousy service.

The person who gave 5 stars and a great (and a very-far-from-reality) comment must be the owner or someone who benefits from that business because it is literally the WORST internet connection I have ever had! So, let me start by saying that I also like to support local business, but not when they completely rip you off and totally rely on the fact that they pretty much have monopoly in the area!
These guys boast "high-speeds" and compare them to DIAL-UP! Really?! This is 2016.not 1995.dial-up is no longer an indicator for anything. The prices are absolutely ridiculous for the packages! For comparison, I've had Fidelity for about 3 years before moving to my current location. I've had Fidelity's slowest package which is 25 MEGA-bps for $30 a month.now with Wave, I'm paying $40 for 0.5 Mgbs.their 6Mgbs (which is still a tiny fraction of Fidelity's sloweeeessssttttt speed) is like $300 a month! An absolute rip-off! It's not even wired internet!
They have no poles to maintain. It's wireless! And, the worst part is that THEY WILL SLOW YOU DOWN! As if 0.5Mbps isn't slow enough, they unethically slow me down to 0.1Mbps! This is a reason to disconnect (or sue) of course. Only they are the only non-satellite option in this area. They know it, and that's why they take advantage of their customers (especially those who aren't very tech-savvy and don't know that they are being ripped off)!
My suggestion is to NOT connect and stay internet-free for awhile (until other SENSIBLE options are available). You might think that slow Internet is better than none, but I promise you that after connecting through them, you will feel like you're paying for no internet anyway. BE WARN! (oh, yea, and I'm writing this comment on my phone through my cellular network because right now my internet speed is about 0 bps.and have been for a few days now).

I am visiting family from my home on a secluded island where internet there is understandably spotty since its in the middle of the freaking ocean. Wave Computers is in the middle of the U. S. and the worse internet that I have ever seen (almost as bad as dial up). On a daily basis we experience very low speeds and often aren't even able to stream a tv show. We've contacted the company numerous times and have not gotten any responses.
We even have the "upgraded" service. Wave computers is a joke of an Internet company with horrible customer service. Looking at the few reviews I am shocked at any decent reviews, even makes me leery.

First let me say that I love supporting local businesses. This is Rolla's only locally-owned and operated Internet Service Provider. And it just gets better. The prices beat Fidelity and other compition in the area when compared to their plans and speed. And the customer service is hands down the best I have ever had. If there ever is an issue, you almost always speak to the owner and the response time is fantastic.
I know in the past two days the wind has been around 30 miles an hour. On the news most other internet service providers were having major disruptions all over the state. However, Wave Internet did not have any issues.
